Kinetic Hamlet LLC consisted of Corey Kreisel, Hanna Hadzic, Ramses Spyder Allen and me! This started out of a Jacksonville Florida branch of FIGMENT arts 501c3 aiming to bring public art and free participatory events to our local community with the people above and a group a friends. We began with scavenger hunts and pop up public art installations to bring people together during COVID and then expanded into Jacksonville’s first augmented reality mural and now recognized cultural landmark. From there we continued on to do several more mural projects and collaborations in Florida partnering with businesses and non-profits to bring beauty to the neighborhoods and celebrate important stories. The LLC disbanded in 2023 with the artists pursing different careers but I am happy I got to be a part of this and it shaped much of how I think about public art and grassroots organizing.
